    a.通常說話中初次提到的人或物的名詞前用不定冠詞,以后再次提到同一人或物時已明確所指的對象,具有特指意義,所以名詞前面須用定冠詞。

    a.表示樂器的名詞前須用定冠詞。例如:play the piano,play the guitar,play the violin等。

    Rules about "the" 3
    a.定冠詞the在元音音素前發(fā)/ei:/或/ei/;在輔音音素前發(fā)/e?/。判斷一個單詞是以元音開頭還是以輔音開頭,應根據(jù)音標而不是元音字母a,e,i,o,u.
    b.同時,不定冠詞a和an的發(fā)音也遵循這條規(guī)則,即a用在以輔音音素開頭的單詞前,讀作/?/,只有強調時才讀作/ei/。an用在以元音音素開頭的單詞前,一般讀作/?n/,只有強調時才讀作/?n/.
