表語從句
表語從句是指在復(fù)合句中作表語的名詞性從句，放在系動詞之后，有時用as if引導(dǎo)。
一般結(jié)構(gòu)是：主語+連系動詞+表語從句
可接表語從句系動詞：be,look,remain,seem ect
引導(dǎo)表語從句的that常不可省略
常用結(jié)構(gòu)：the reson(why...)is that...
It is because...

amount n.常用amount of sth.表“數(shù)量，數(shù)額 ”，一般修飾不可數(shù)名詞，作主語時謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式。

a large amount of 與a large number of 都表“大量的”，a large amount of=large amounts of 修飾不可數(shù)名詞；a large number of 修飾可數(shù)名詞，作主語時謂語動詞用復(fù)數(shù)。

take a/the chance=take chances=take a risk冒險，碰運(yùn)氣
我們不要冒險，我們最好求穩(wěn)。
We mustn't take chances.We'd better play safe.
我們決定與老天爺賭一把，在戶外聚會。
We decided to take a chance on (the weather)and have the party outdoors.
我們也許會識趣許多支持，但我們必須冒一下險。
