    形容詞
    形容詞是用來描寫或修飾名詞或代詞,說明人或事物的特征或性質(zhì)的。
    用法:
    作定語:
    e.g. This is an old house.
         這是一間老宅子。
    作表語:
    e.g. He is very clever.
         他很聰明。
    形容詞在句中的位置:
    形容詞作定語通常置于被修飾詞之前,但當(dāng)被修飾的詞是復(fù)合不定代詞時,則置于復(fù)合不定代詞之后。如:
    something interesting
    形容詞作表語位于系動詞之后。除be動詞外,系動詞還包括become、feel、get、look、seem、smell、sound、taste、turn等,這些詞后常接形容詞作表語。
    如:The price sounds reasonable.
        這個價格聽起來算是合理的。

    不定代詞
    代替或修飾不特指的人或事物的代詞叫不定代詞。
    some,any,every,no都能和one,body,thing一起構(gòu)成代詞,這些代詞叫復(fù)合不定代詞。它們基本含義為:
    指人:
    somebody、someone  某人
    anybody、anyone  某人
    everybody、everyone  每個人
    nobody、no one  沒有人
    指物:
    something  某物
    anything  某物
    everything  每件事,一切
    nothing  沒事
    somebody,something,someone
    常用于肯定句中;疑問句中,如果希望得到對方肯定的回答,也會用some-。
    如:Hey, Lily. There is someone outside the door. 嗨,麗麗,門外有人。
    anything,anybody,anyone
    常用于疑問句或否定句中。
    如:Did you meet anyone when you came to school last Sunday?
        上個星期天你來學(xué)校時見到什么人了嗎?
    no one,nobody,nothing
    no-有否定含義,no one表示“沒有人”,nobody=not anyone,nothing=not anything
    如:He has nothing much to do today.
    他今天沒有多少事情做。
    everybody,everyone,everything
    everybody/everyone的意思是“每個人,人人”,everything的意思是“每件事,一切”。
    如:Everybody likes swimming.
    每個人都喜歡游泳。
    注:
    ★形容詞修飾復(fù)合不定代詞時,通常要位于這些詞的后面。

    今天的報紙上有什么重要的新聞嗎?
    ★復(fù)合不定代詞作主語時,謂語動詞通常用單數(shù)。
    Everything is ready. 一切都準(zhǔn)備好了。

    Summary
    We use adjectives to describe people or things. We can put an adjective before a noun or after a linking verb.
    We use indefinite pronouns to refer to people or things when we do not know or do not need to mention who or what we are talking about.
